It is no surprise that many schools and districts are struggling with budget cuts.  We read about it daily in the papers. At Edmonds Elementary, we know how important that extra financial boost can be towards our children's education. With extra funds, we are able to provide many more resources to give to our classrooms, teachers and children.

 

There are two very important fundraising "arms" at Edmonds Elementary:

 

EEPTALogo 

The PTA helps pay for school buses for our field trips, memory books, school planners, supplemental supplies for every classroom, scholarships, disaster preparedness supplies (in the unlikely event of an earthquake or other disaster, we make sure there is enough food, blankets, etc. for every child and staff member at Edmonds Elementary), safety patrol recognition, the yearbook, school directory, this website and more!  In addition, the PTA sponsors several social events throughout the year to build our school community such as:

  • a Welcome Back Social

  • the fall Harvest Festival (costumes are highly encouraged!)

  • monthly Skate Parties at the Lynnwood Skate & Bowl... no prior roller skating experience necessary

  • the winter Bingo Night

  • The Orca Walking Club

  • ORCA-Strated Art Show

  • Staff/Teacher Appreciation Week

  • Jogathon

  • Field Day

  • Graduation

  • Spring BBQ

Edmonds Elementary PTA

 The S.T.A.R.S. Foundation, founded by Edmonds Elementary parents in 1998, primarily raises money through an annual auction. The money is used for grants for teachers, parents and students.  The focus is art, reading and science and technology. A board oversees the twice yearly grant process. Since the first auction in June 1999, the STARS Foundation has raised over $200,000 for our Edmonds Elementary students!

As a parent, your support is desperately needed to make our school the best it can be. Edmonds Elementary has always prided itself in our volunteers and the support they give to our school.  You will see several opportunities to sign up as a volunteer for either of the fundraising "arms".  Contact the Main office or any of the PTA/STARS board members if you have any questions.
